The YOUropean Week is a very special event made by students, for students. Contrary to other parliamentary simulations, we are not targeting an informed public. The « raison d’être » of the YOUropean Week is to contribute to make the EU more accessible and understandable for everyone. Our main objective is to raise the awareness of students about the European Union. In that sense, organizing a parliamentary simulation for students allow us to make them discover the functioning of the European Parliament and other European institutions. Moreover, it allows students to discover the informal parliamentary life in Brussels, frequenting the same places as the MEPs. It allows them to meet people that make the daily life of the European Union, to exchange with MEPs and European public servants. Usually, some conferences are organized to discuss about current European debates. Students also have the possibility to visit European institutions.
